The Town is responsible for safe and secure schools and public spaces and that all reasonable steps are taken to ensure the safety of students and the general public.  The Police Department should focus on preventing acts of aggression, violent crimes and the destruction of private property.  The pursuit and prosecution of victimless crimes should be de-emphasized.
